From the Office
Dear Parents,
We hope that all of the students had fun celebrating our amazing school during Catholic Schools Week last week! Thanks to all of the parents that chipped in with their time and donations! Thanks to everyone who shared their talents at the Talent Show! If you would like to order a DVD or emailed file of the recording, please click here: https://forms.gle/M6Wv53tSZ8W4qGYf7. Order by Monday, Feb. 26th. I would like to thank the IHM Student Council for assembling the Catholic Schools Week Quilt.
The winner of the classroom pizza party for having the highest percentage of parents attending the benefit this year --- for the second year in a row --- the current 3rd grade class with 62%! It was neat to see 4 classrooms at the 50% or more mark this year.
The sign-ups for our Summer Programs are now open! IHM has two summer programs:
ECE Summer Program for students entering 3K, 4K, or Kindergarten in the Fall
IHM Summer Camp Program, for students entering grades 1-6 in the Fall.
There is a lot of information on the sign-up forms, links below. Of course let us know if you have any questions!

A friendly reminder to please call or email the school office by 8:15 AM if your child will not be at school that day, unless you informed us of a multi-day absence. We know mornings are busy for families, but we have noticed an epidemic of parents forgetting to contact us, which mean we have to contact you. By law, we are required to make contact with parents about absences! If you have one phone call or email to make, we have a dozen! Thanks for your help with this!
This is the last afternoon to do these two things if necessary:
If you do not plan on your students attending IHM in the Fall, let the office know by tomorrow morning, to avoid being assessed the $75 non-refundable re-enrollment fee. Fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/VfZSkZ19EZ5Z3oiR8
For siblings that have not attended IHM, and other new students: Priority Application for current IHM families and IHM parishioners for the 24-25 school year ends TODAY. After today, application is open to the public. Apply for the 24-25 school year by logging into your FACTs family portal (district code is IHM-WI) and clicking the Apply/Enroll link on the menu. Current students at any level do NOT NEED AN APPLICATION! Each application costs IHM money, and current/past students don't need them.
You are invited to Wednesday Faith Formation Night! Tonight is Potluck Dinner at Christ the King at 6pm. We will be having a Chili Baked Potato Bar and dinner will be served by our EdCo group.
Catholic schools provide a firm foundation for your child's growth and development. Pray for a year filled with faith and learning. Let's be a community of service to each other and to our world. On behalf of Father Chad, Father Bill, Father Mark, and the teachers and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, God bless you for choosing Immaculate Heart of Mary School!
Peace & Blessings,
Callie Meiller, Principal

Check your student for symptoms daily before school:

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
New loss of taste or smell
Muscle or body aches
Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)

Headache, when in combination with other symptoms
Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known causes, such as allergies), when in combination with other symptom
*Vomiting and fever may or may not be associated with COVID-19. If your student is experiencing only one of these symptoms, they may return to school once the symptom has resolved after 24 hours without the use of medications.
If one or more of these symptoms are present, please keep the student home. The CDC recommends testing for COVID-19 with a PCR test or rapid antigen test (home test or administered at a pharmacy or clinic). Please contact the school to report illness and absence, and test results.
Please also keep students with these symptoms home:
Fever or chills (without other symptoms): Check temperature with a thermometer. If the temperature is 100 or higher, keep the student home until their temperature remains lower than 100 for at least 24 hours without giving fever-reducing medication such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea (without other symptoms) within the last 24 hours. Keep the student home until they tolerate their regular diet and there is no nausea/vomiting/diarrhea for at least 24 hours.
A rash or communicable infection (such as pink eye, strep throat, mono etc.) Keep the student home from school and call your health care provider for further medical evaluation.
Students can return to school when their symptoms have cleared, according to the guidelines above.
Thank You
Thank you to all who donated to our Souper Bowl of Caring during Catholic Schools Week! We collected 454 cans of soup, and many other items of food, to donate to the St. Vincent dePaul Food Pantry! Thanks to Mrs. KW for driving the soup to it's destination!
